Dr. Henry Kimmel is a Clinical Psychologist (PSY 26131). His areas of specialization include adult psychotherapy, gender aware psychotherapy with men, and geropsychotherapy (adults age 55 and above). Dr. Kimmel has had extensive training working with older adults, having been awarded a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at WISE & Healthy Aging in Santa Monica, CA. His doctoral dissertation was about men and depression. Dr. Kimmel received the Star Vega Award in diversity psychology and was recognized as the Student of Excellence in Clinical Psychology by the Phillips Graduate Institute on the school’s 40th anniversary. His publications include “The Medicare Social Club” (www.costsofcare.org). Dr. Kimmel is a member of the American Psychological Association, the California Psychological Association, the Los Angeles County Psychological Association, Sigma Phi Omega (National Honor and Professional Society in Gerontology), Alpha Epsilon Lambda (National Honor Society for Graduate and Professional School Students), Psi Chi (National Honor Society for Psychology).
